Get NEW pan card in just 10 minuts : How to apply online

Now you don't have to fill out a 2 page form to create a new PAN card. The income tax department is coming up with a special facility, under which if a taxpayer has a base, he will be given a free PAN card. You only need to have an Aadhaar card for the instant E-PAN card application. Then a new PAN card will be issued after completing the e-KYC process using OTP on the registered mobile number.


The new Permanent Account Number will be given to the applicant in PDF format in just 10 minutes. The e-PAN will be considered as valid as a digital copy of the PAN card. However, if you want to make a laminated PAN card, you can also get a print copy for 50 bucks. Learn the process of applying for PAN card online.



This is the process

To apply for PAN card online, you have to go to the Income Tax Department's e-Filing Portal. Go to Instant PAN through Aadhaar section on this portal and click on the Quick Links on the left.
Click on the Get New PAN option on the same page.
After clicking here you have to enter your Aadhaar number and enter the captcha code after generating OTP. The OTP will then be sent to your registered mobile number, which you must validate.
Next step is to validate the base details.
You also need to validate the E-mail ID to apply for a PAN card.
After validating the e-KYC data from the Unique Identity Authority of India (UIDAI), you will be given an instant PIN. In total, you do not even have to spend 10 minutes to complete this process.
Next step you can easily download your PAN card in PDF format after clicking on the Check Status / Download PAN option. If your E-mail ID is registered in your Aadhaar database then you will be sent a new e-PAN to E-mail as well.
A special system has been created to simplify the process of issuing PAN cards. In this you do not have to upload any document on the portal.

According to PTI, 50.52 crore PAN cards have been issued to taxpayers by May 25, 2020. Out of this, 49.39 crore pages have been allotted at individual level and more than 32.17 crore pages are linked to Aadhaar card. Let me tell you that the last date to link page-support is June 30, 2020.

B) For PAN applications submitted to NSDL e-Governor where PAN is allotted or change has been confirmed by ITD within last 10 days, e-PAN card can be downloaded free of cost at the following URL: Click here

C) If PAN is allotted / PAN0 days before the change in PAN data is confirmed by ITD, this facility has to be used for downloading e-PAN card.

D) This facility is available for PAN holders whose latest application was processed by NSDL e-Government.

E) Pan holders who get PAN by using Instant e-PAN facility on ITD's e-filing portal will also be able to avail this facility.

f) Applicable charge for downloading e-PAN card is Rs.8.26 /

For e-PAN, the applicant has to visit the e-filing website of the Income Tax Department. There they have to enter their Aadhaar number, then an OTP will come on their registered mobile number. After successfully completing this process, you will receive a 15-digit registration number.


This allows you to see the status of your page application. Once the page is allocated you can download. According to the CBDT, the page will also be sent to the applicant through the email allotted once.
